Visual Lifestreaming Goodness!
Lifestreaming is slowly becoming a very popular concept these days. Essentially, a Lifestream is a visual representation of the things you are doing or promoting on the web. It features just about everything you do on a particular service from your messages on Twitter to everything you’re bookmarking in delicious; all for public consumption. For a better idea of services that cater to this concept, Friendfeed (review) would be a great place to start.
Mark Krynsky of the Lifestream Blog has an amazing gallery of lifestreams on the web! He made a post about starting the gallery back in March and it features 5 awesomesauce self-hosted lifestreams that he happen to run across. They are a must see! Since then, he’s expanded the lifestream gallery which now features 14 lifestreams for your viewing pleasure. These lifestreams are being hosted on services such as Tumblr, Jaiku, Profilactic, Tabber, and even iStalkr (does anyone remember that service?)! They’re amazing and I highly recommend taking a peek at them.
Incidentally, if you just can’t get enough of such geek goodness, you should check out the search results for "lifestream" on Flickr.
If you have a lifestream you’d like to share, don’t hesitate to post a link in the comments section! I’d love to see what you all have come up with!
