Technorati’s Web Hot or Not is NOT HOT

Is Technorati that desperate for attention? In the past few months I’ve read a lot of articles of bloggers who have their fair share of complaints and issues with Technorati’s blog rating system. Some have even dismissed the site. It was once on now, but now it seems to be falling from blogger’s graces and this latest addition to their site is no different.
CommandShift3 already does what Technorati’s Web Hot or Not is supposed to do and does it better. The Hot or Not site is extremely Web 1.0 and an unnecessary distraction for all of 5 seconds.
What do you think? Would you really use this as a time waster or even as a way to find new sites to visit?

They CANT be serious.
Your right, it does look like crap. But at least you can give the sites a number rating and not pit them up against each other. (For example, two good sites against each other, vs. two ugly sites against each other – a good one loses and a bad one wins; instead of the two good ones winning).
