Smorty – Blog for Money

Smorty is a blog advertising service, where you can get paid to blog about your opinions about a service and link back to the advertisers. This happens to be my first post from Smorty and I’ll be blogging about the Smorty service.

So far, the service is very nice, intuitive, and easy. When you log into your account, your ‘admin’ page will list all the offers that you have and what the offering price is for each offer. You can also see your smorty score, how many posts you have taken, how manyhave been approved, how many were declined, and the amount of money you have made in the past 7 days and  in the past month. There’s also a link for you to check out your payment history thus far. The layout is very intuitive and easy to use. No mess, no complications. If you advertise on blogs for free, why not try it out for money? You don’t have to accept all or any of your offers, and you have the option of writing a bad review or a good review with no strings attached. You are paid on a weekly basis through Paypal. I see that as a plus because a lot of internet users that shop use paypal. So, if you already have a PayPal account, you can set it up to have the money deposited to your current account. Another plus is that you can post on multiple blogs! There are limitations, of course, but if you happen to operate more than one blog you’ll be able to accept and post different content. Best of all, this service is free!

If you’re an advertiser, you can utilize Smorty just as well, and pay bloggers to post reviews of your site. You only have to pay for the posts that you approve of. This is a plus for you and a negative for the bloggers. Even if you don’t approve of that bloggers posts, they still have to keep it up. This is why I would recommend that user’s only blog about offers that they would not mind being declined for, because your post must be permanent! As aforementioned, this is only my first post using this service. I still have a ways to go before I decide whether or not it will be something I use on a regular basis.
