Efficient Design
The site design is pretty simple, which most mobile users will greatly appreciate. The only graphic on the homepage is the ReadBurner logo, so page loading times were a breeze! Once on the home page, you have 5 options to choose from and a corresponding keypad number:- Popular Stories (0)
- Upcoming (1)
- Most Recent Stories (2)
- ReadBurner Blog (3)
- Google Reader (4)
- Contact Us (5)
Display Breakdown
There are 10 stories shown for each of the first three views and the ReadBurner Blog. Clicking on any of the items in these views will first take you to its ReadBurner page where you can see the author, source, and how many times the item was shared. ReadBurner provides a mobile friendly version of each item. Note that images may or may not be stripped from the content. At the very end of the page is a link to the full HTML version and comments section (if enabled). Unfortunately, there are no neat tricks for the Google Reader section. You’ll only be forwarded to the mobile version of Google Reader, which I find to be a convenient shortcut. My New Mobile Homepage
