Profilefly Review

Chances are, if your an even an average web user you’re probably starting to aggregate quite a few online Profiles, Contacts, and Bookmarks. This could include anything from the ever growing amount of Social Networks like Myspace and Facebook, to Blogs, Photo Sites, Online Dating accounts, Professional Networking services, Email Addresses, Instant Messenger names, even your favorite Youtube or Metacafe Videos.
As a direct result of this, there is now a need to tie these various profiles together in one location. ProfileFly.com is website that allows users to create links to all of their information in one place, and also has tools to promote a users complete online identity. ProfileFly.com is structured like a Social Network itself, and has some unique features like the ability to share and rate Bookmarks with friends.
Profilefly was launched this past April and is a social aggregating web service that is similar to other services such as LinkedIn, LinkMyBox, & Profilactic. You basically have one place to post links to all the social networks you’ve joined. The most popular links seem to be for Myspace, after that Facebook. You can also link to your blogs and create bookmarks, or add your contacts and share them. Noted on your profile are a feed of your friends bookmarks, which you can vote on. The hottest bookmarks are displayed on the homepage, alongside the latest profiles. You can perform a search for others with similar tastes or find one of your friends. What I’m particularly fond of when it comes to this site are the Profilefly banners. They display many unique and trendy internet phrases such as “Asian Girls Do It Better”, or “Sexy.Cute.Sweet….and our of your league”.
The service itself is nothing new and still has a long way to go. It is not bringing anything to the table that hasn’t already been seen. If someone were to ask why should they use this service or switch services, I could not give them an answer.
