Peekamo Web Service Review
Peekamo is a recently relaunched beta web service that offers free sms texting to anyone inside or outside of your Peekamo Network, among other social networking features. Upon first visiting the site, when I clicked on a link, I was expecting to be forwarded to the link’s page or to see something pop up. It took about 3 minutes for something to happen. Then and only then, did I realize that the Peekamo homepage links actually went somewhere. I was honestly about to exit out of the site because I didn’t think anything was working. Eventually, I got to a point where I could sign up. The sign up process wasn’t very long. However, this is one sloooooow web service and made the sign up process seem long. After signing up, I proceeded to edit my profile. Once I started to do so, I stopped because there was certain information that I didn’t want listed on my profile page, that was necessary for me to list if I wanted to edit it. Now, I’ve just been randomly logged out of the service. Why? I don’t know and I haven’t even published this review yet.
Peekamo still has some kinks to work out as far as their site goes. I’m diggin the concept that they’re going after. Unfortunately, if I’m understanding the site correctly, you can send texts for free, but you’ll still have to pay the cost for receiving them. BOO! I want to send and receive for free! Peekamo, get your site under control please and start up a blog so that users can know what the heck is going on. And where is the FAQ? I’ll be back to check up on this site next week.
