Facebook Status Update is a Milestone In My Book
Some people just don’t understand how much of a pain in the ass the "is" in the Facebook status was. Sometimes, what you wanted to say couldn’t be reformatted or molded to fit the "is". I started to notice that some of my friends started to ignore it altogether and, eventually, so did I. The status feature is a very important and notable feature in Facebook. It’s probably the feature I use the most! I change my status daily. I know others who change their status damn near hourly. That "is" was a huge annoyance sometimes and I know a lot of people who are more than happy to see it gone.

I honestly do not see what the big deal is. An overwhelming majority of people have continued to use ‘is’ in their status. Some are mildly annoyed that they have to type it. Also, people are not creative enough to think up something else to type so in the end, it is wasting even more time of those who use Facebook.
I’m one of those who just stopped using it after a while. Some of my friends continue to use it but I’d say only about 20% of them. Sort of like the MSN feature, seems cool at first, but then it becomes a waste of time.
hmm i think the war is beneficial to all..just look at bill gates n steve jobs bro..both are titans and people are still buying..
I can see where you’re coming from, but I think it was necessary in the beginning and it was the right decision to remove it now. The “is” sort of shaped the status and gave it some type of standard. I never get any use out of it though because I don’t login enough. If I did, it would say something I was doing last week. I’m surprised they haven’t added some type of idle icon for people like me, knowing Facebook hehe.
