Facebook Influence

Facebook has a lot of influential power and everyone knows it! I’d like to share my own personal experience with my first statement…

While on FB today, I decided to check out the Jaiku app. Note: I’m not a Twitter user. After adding the app, I decided to do a search for a Jaiku group. The numbers for the Jaiku groups are pretty low. Then, I thought, let’s see Twitter’s numbers. Not only do they have more groups, but the Twitter Addicts group also has a high member count than the Jaiku addicts group; 300+ to 90. Let’s take it a step further, I decided to see how the activity is going in each group. As of right now, there’s only 1 discussion in Jaiku Addicts (last updated August 29th) and no discussions in the Twitter Addicts group. However, Twitter Addicts are naturally doing all their discussions on the “wall”; 201 wall posts (Twitter) to a mere 20 (Jaiku).

After reading all of this, I seriously considered joining Twitter. I just may do that before the day is over.
