I just got around to catching up on some TED (ideas worth spreading) videos of interests. After watching a recent video on Siftables “cookie-sized, computerized blocks you can stack and shuffle in your hands”, I began to wonder if maybe we’ll see something like this in elementary schools in the near future. Technological building blocks!
The reason I really love Siftables and would love to see it in classrooms is because it has the potential to adapt to a child’s learning behavior, rather than forcing the child to learn the technology’s behavior. This is something that I know a lot of my peers struggle with. Siftables allows for much more flexibility of the mind and the way we solve problems.
What do you think: could you see "siftables” making its way into a school near you?
