Blackberry’s Facebook App

While playing catchup in Google Reader, I came across an article by Chris Gilmer from DownloadSquad. The article is about Blackberry getting a standalone Facebook application! I don’t have a problem with this, but I do envy it. I have a Motorola Q and (more recently) the Sidekick LX (Sidekick 4). To my knowledge, none of these phones have an official standalone Facebook applications and I want one! BADLY! I just don’t understand how Windows Mobile doesn’t get applications like this, yet the iPhone got them in two damn seconds! UGH! While reading the comments section of the article Chris suggested that one user (who posed the same question I did) use the iPhone facebook address. Gave it a whirl and I couldn’t even log in on my Q. Maybe I need a PocketPC instead to access it. *sigh* This sucks.

Oh my goodness…
If ever I get a PDA or smart phone, the Blackberry will be it. I’m sure, by then, if trends with Facebook continue the way they are, all will have Facebook apps available. But I love the Blackberry!

Why the Blackberry? Why not a Treo or a WM PDA?
