Add RSSmeme To Your FeedBurner FeedFlare
If you’d rather not mess with your blog’s template to add the RSSmeme widget released last week, you can add it to your FeedBurner FeedFlare instead! Just take the following steps:
- Log into your FeedBurner account.
- Go to your feed’s optimize tab and click on FeedFlare.
- Paste this link into the "Add New Flare" box:
- Click on the "Add New Flare" button and then check the box to enable it on your feed.
- Scroll to the bottom and click on "Save".
That’s it! It may take a while for FeedBurner to update the changes, but I’ve already added mine next to the ‘Twit This’ FeedFlare.
Note from RSSmeme developer Benjamin Golub about the difference of usage for the RSSmeme widget and the FeedFlare:
The blog widget lets you reach out to readers who don’t subscribe to your RSS feed. They can then click a link to share right from your blog without ever subscribing feed.
The FeedFlare is a little different. All it really does is let your readers know how many times a story has been shared and lets them click on the link to view it in RSSmeme (to see comments/tags/sharers/etc…)
